Krabi

I have been to Krabi twice. One back in Nov 2018 and the latest being very recently in Dec 2019.

Reaching Krabi
There are no direct flights from India to Krabi. During my first trip, I had booked it via Bangkok. The best option is to book it through AirAsia. During this trip it was via Phuket. Recently, direct flights have started from Bengaluru to Phuket with Indigo airlines which fits very well within budget.

On both the occasions we stayed at Ao Nang beach. According to me Ao Nang is really a best place to stay. The night market is very good with lot of eateries, pubs etc.

During the first trip, the stay was at Ao Nang Reagent. This time it was at Deevana Plaza. Deevana Plaza is at walk-able distance from Ao Nang beach as well as Noppharat thara beach. This was really one of the best places i have stayed in recent times. Highly recommend this place for a short stay.

Things to do in Krabi
Well, there are so many things to do in Krabi. Here are the things which we did:

Railay Beach
Railay beach is just 15 mins away from Ao Nang beach through a long tailed boat. Once you reach, the best thing to do is to hike to Railay beach view point and lagoon. It is advisable to carry a good pair of hiking shoes. The hike is quite challenging especially towards the lagoon.

Scuba Diving
This was my maiden scuba diving experience and definitely will cherish the memories for a long time. I definitely feel everyone should do it at least once in a lifetime. This was pre booked. This included hotel pick up and drop. For more details check the link, The Dive Ao Nang.

Only disappointment was there was no video coverage, so i would recommend to carry a Go pro.

The first dive spot was at Maya Bay and second one was at Phi Phi.

Island Tours
There are plenty of island tour options available which can be directly booked or pre booked online.
We opted for Hong island tour which included hotel pick up and drop, lunch and tour via speed boat. The tour operators stop at many good snorkeling spots and also provide snorkeling kits. The most safe and reliable way to book the tours is through Viator or Tripadvisor.

After a funfilled and adventurous 3 days in Krabi, we left for Bangkok and then back to India.
