By plan, the
temples are simple single-shrined structures. The Nageshvara
temple (lit, "Lord of snakes"), dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva
(represented by his universal symbol, the linga) is in the south.
The
Chennakeshava temple (lit, "beautiful Vishnu"), dedicated to a
standing cult image of the Hindu god Vishnu, is to the north.
The sukanasi structure holds the
beautiful Hoysala crest that depicts a royal warrior stabbing a lion.

These temples have witnessed a series of idol thefts by miscreants and thus the caretakers did not allow us to take any photos inside the temple. We had a good conversation with the temple priest and then he requested us to have tea and snacks at his house. We were overwhelmed with this gesture and decided to visit his house which was just a few yards from the temple complex. He offered tea and some coconut barfee which was just awesome. We were really sorry to hear about the theft incidents from the priest.
After spending some time, we started our return journey. Thus out third trip came to an end with lot of good memories. All the temples in this visit were just splendid.
